ROUNDABOUTS

ROUNDABOUTS

Show me tell me

You’ll be asked 2 vehicle safety questions at the start of your car driving test. These are also known as the ‘show me, tell me’ questions.

The examiner will ask you:

  • one ‘show me’ question, where you have to show them how you’d carry out a check

  • one ‘tell me’ question, where you have to explain how you’d carry out the check

Asda DoUBLE RB.

Tackling a double roundabout can be daunting. Here is an example of our llocal situations and the possible routs. Beware turning right to Ashington now requires you to take the right lane on the first roundabout to pass a local test.

A19 / A189

It is best to think of this not as a roundabout but more a twisty motorway. Key principles to remember are:

Get in lane

Stay in lane

There may be a need to tackle a split lane so as always stick to the left or the spiral nature of the roundabout will not take effect.
